Description
The city tour covers the main sights of Salta in about three hours. It takes in Plaza 9 de Julio, the Cathedral Basilica and the Cabildo, with time to walk around the historic centre.
The route then climbs Cerro San Bernardo, the city's natural viewpoint, looking out over the Lerma Valley and the hills that surround Salta. It continues to San Lorenzo, a village a few kilometres away with a cooler microclimate, tree-lined streets and a wooded gorge.
The tour ends back at your hotel in Salta. It is a good first outing for anyone who has just arrived and wants to get their bearings before heading out to the valleys.
