Seven Lakes Road
Full day along the Seven Lakes Road, from Bariloche to San Martin de los Andes, between lakes, rivers and Patagonian forest.
Description
The Seven Lakes Road runs along Route 40 between Villa La Angostura and San Martin de los Andes, and gathers a good part of the scenery the region is known for. The day starts in Bariloche following the northern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, crosses the Limay river and makes a short stop in Villa La Angostura.
From there the road, fully paved, passes Correntoso, Espejo, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner and Machonico, with beaches and viewpoints where the vehicle pulls over for photographs.
The route ends on the shore of Lake Lacar, the seventh of them, where San Martin de los Andes sits. There is free time to walk around the town and have lunch, which is not included, before returning by the same road. Count on around ten and a half hours door to door. Bookings close 72 hours before departure.
